The article reveals the activities of literary intellectuals who remained in the occupied territories and under the Nazi regime continued to create and to work. But the principles of objectivity and historicism require the coverage of literary space during the Second World War, revealing the full picture of the literary and poetic potential of the Ukrainian artists. Thanks to historical and genetic, historical and typological methods, we revealed the changes that occurred in the attitudes of writers, poets and population of the occupied territories in the process of cooperation and knowledge of the art of literary intellectuals in conditions of severe political regime. The poets and writers tried to show their own vision of the situation in the occupied territories through their works, to reveal the daily life of ordinary Ukrainians; to maintain the patriotic spirit of the local population and its desire for freedom. Poetry of the occupation reflected the emotional experiences of the inhabitants of Ukrainian cities and villages, which were in the occupied territories, their aspirations and expectations. This manifestation of the daily life of the people enslaved territories by the Nazi army is extremely important for the study of several problems of the Second World War. Poetic works written during the time of Hitler's invasion, can be considered as an eloquent historical sources. Their comprehension will allow researchers to understand a lot of the events that took place in the occupied territory. Talented poets whose work presented in this article, in our opinion, must belong to the cohort of famous artists of the Ukrainian poetics, and contemporaries should not forget of their names.
