The historic prose of the early XXI century is an inhomogeneous, contrastive and diversified phenomenon. The peculiarity of Ukrainian postmodernism lies in literature democratization, reaccentuation of traditional themes and topics, representation and reinterpretation of images, game principles of modelling, the ironicalness of author’s position, etc.  The topicality of this article is driven by the need of analysis of the dynamics of real and mystical images in national and specific contexts in the modern literature.
