“A FRENCH NOVEL” BY FRÉDÉRIC BEIGBEDER IN THE CONTEXT OF SELF-REPRESENTATIONAL WRITING BY THE AUTHOR

The article is devoted to the study of the autobiographical prose by Frederic Beigbeder. The prosaic creativity of Frederic Beigbeder, as one of the most known French writers, requires the more detailed scientific research. The main object of this study is the Frederic Beigbeder’s reference autobiography “A French Novel”. This literary autobiographical work is constructed as double narration – then and now. The author of the article analyzes specificity of the writer’s self-representation, moral and physical writer’s portrait in the Frederic Beigbeder’s autobiography. The question of the writer’s automythology is observed, too.
Further study of these issues will give us a better understanding of the essence of prosaic self-representation of the author.
