This research is devoted to the study of the genre aspect of the intertexture of the novel «The Poor Girls of a Bad Girl» (2006) by Mario Vargas Llossa. In the article the author analyzes the structure of the novel and outlines the main genre models used in the text: a chivalrous novel and a picaresque novel, «novel career»; and «novel anti- career» a novel about the dictator. The postmodern game of M. Vargas Llosa with anti-nominal traditional genre matrices in the novel «The Bad Girl» subordinated to the task of representing the author’s idea, the concept of the Homo Peruvian. Considering the formation of the individual (as the initiation act of discovering the true meaning of being) as a synonym for the formation of the nation, the writer looks at the violent interruption by the European civilization of the development of the «child» culture of Colombian Peru as a violation of the initiation process. In author’s opinion, this led to the loss of identity - the source of the unity of man and the world, the loss of national memory, and as a result - the inability of the nation, and hence of an individual, to develop and comprehend the meaning of being decently. The writer’s certainty in the reason of this process lies in the complexity of self-identification of the Homo Peruvian in the modern postmodern world. Another obstacle is the lack of skills for normal communication, due to the dictatorship’s psycho-pathological phenomenon, when brutality and violence act in a society as a habitual communicative system.Downloads
